The Next Ansel

On the heels of the next Picasso, comes my five year old… the next Ansel Adams. We did a little nature walk around the yard and he snapped photos of all the little flowers and sprouts coming out. Being only five helps you get a different look at things.

He had a wonderful appreciation for all of the spring growth. He even had an appreciation for weeds!

Have a wonderful weekend!
It looks like SPRING has finally arrived for good!

Little Happy Fish

In the spirit of my sister’s happy blog, check out these happy robotic fish. I love them! Seriously I want one or two or three. The boys and I were wandering around Youtube looking at Hexbugs and stumbled upon some interesting robots, including a robotic python.

We could use a little happy here. My oldest is recovering from a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, and I am an idiot that sprained an ankle. It should be a fun week! Hopefully I will find some art time this week.

I hope everyone is enjoying the arrival of SPRING!

I am going to eat you!

Yesterday was one of those mommy days… lots of mommy stuff, no art time. I did manage to snap this cool shot of a t-rex getting ready to eat Baltimore. Yum!

Texture

Sand Texture by Claudine Intner. Photograph. 2011

Isn’t this amazing? This is texture in sand on Assateague Island. The waves created this texture in the sand. I see lots of different things in this including horse heads and legs. What do you see?

My collages have lots of texture, too. In case you missed it, I wanted to share the two collages I posted on Etsy earlier this week. A few more are in the works and on the way.

Being a mom is challenging enough, but throw in autism and you have to become a super parent! This collage is dedicated to all the autism super moms out there that go above and beyond. “Autism Mom” shows her heart on her sleeve and loves to wear her autism awareness earrings. She would do anything for her kids! Click here to see Autism Mom on Etsy.

Like Mother, Like Daughter… She has the daughter she always wanted. Same eyes, same hair, same temperament — good or bad. She loves to be her mother! Check out my Etsy store for more!

Come back Friday for more art movies!
